This session will deliver a new Home Office Prevent training module.

It aims to increasing understanding about Prevent, explain what radicalisation, extremism and terrorism are, what the notice, check, share procedure is and how to apply it and what to do if you do come across any concerning behaviours.

The training is interactive with participation from attendees in a number of exercises.   Case studies are used to increase understanding supported by videos with the outcomes intended to:

• Increase understanding of Prevent and how it applies to your role
• Identify the emotions and behaviours which may make someone more susceptible to radicalisation
• Understanding the latest ideological landscape
• How to apply the Notice Check Share Process
• Understand risk in the local area
• Know what to do when you have a concern
• Understand the referral pathway for Prevent cases
