About Mental Health First Aid.

  • It is an internationally recognised training endorsed by Mental Health First Aid England and the Royal Society for Public Health—over half a million in the UK, and 4 million globally are trained as Mental Health First Aiders
  • The training equips you with the skills to recognise poor mental health, and self-care, and give initial support before professional help arrives.
  • You will receive a workbook and the training manual for you to keep.
  • Mental Health First Aid won’t teach you to be a therapist but to effectively listen, reassure, and respond even in a crisis.

The 4 Sessions

To qualify as a Mental Health First Aider, you must attend 4 sessions spread over 2 days.  Upon completion, you’ll receive 3 years of access to the Mental Health First Aid App, a monthly newsletter, and any free training on offer. After three years, you can renew your qualification by completing a 3.5-hour refresher course.
