First Steps towards Safe and Sound is a free self-assessment tool for all voluntary and community organisations in Reading who would like to take the initial steps towards becoming an organisation with good governance and being able to demonstrate this to others. The core areas include safeguarding, health and safety, data protection and equity diversity and inclusion.

In these hour-long lunchtime sessions, members of the Reading Voluntary Action team will provide an introduction to the various types of support offered by RVA, as well as to the wider Voluntary and Community sector here in Reading.

These sessions are designed to support those leading on the completion of the First Steps towards Safe and Sound self-assessment and self-declaration process.
