RVA will be hosting free de-escalation training for those working for or volunteering in charities or community groups in Reading.

The aim:

To help you adequately respond to situations that may arise in your charity when delivering your services, whether one-to-one or group services, in a way that will de-escalate the situation but to also bear in mind that we work with vulnerable individuals and to therefore learn some skills to take a trauma informed approach to handling those difficult situations.

The session will delivered by Olga Zilderberg, a consultant trainer and specialist on this topic.

Who should attend:

Those in front-line positions in charities or community groups providing services and activities in Reading, particularly those in community settings. Or if you are a direct line manager of someone in this role. Please note this training is not for back office or admin roles as the training is in demand and we need to prioritise those in front line roles.

Please note there is a maximum of 2 people per organisation at each training session to ensure equality of access for a wide range of groups in Reading.

2027 dates:
