Volunteers’ Week 2025 is almost here, and Reading Voluntary Action is gearing up to mark the event with an online promotional campaign and Volunteer Fair.

Volunteers’ Week is an annual UK-wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers.

Throughout next week, we will post a series of Volunteering Experience stories, highlighting the variety of volunteering opportunities available and the diversity of those stepping forward to contribute to our shared goal of making Reading a thriving community, improving and enriching the lives of all.

You will find these stories on our dedicated Volunteers’ Week 2025 page, launching on Monday, 2 June. You will also find them on our Facebook page.

Following hot on the heels of our online campaign, we will be hosting a Volunteer Fair on Saturday, 14 June. Stalls for the fair are sold out, but organisations registered with our Reading Volunteer Connect platform can still be part of the event. Contact us if you would like to have promotional material displayed on the day*.

Do you have plans for Volunteers’ Week? We would love to hear what you get up to and can promote your events in the weeks following. Email us at: volunteering@rva.org.uk to share your news.

*We are happy to take up to 50 A5 leaflets to display on the general stall. These will need to be dropped off / posted to our office by Monday, 9 June at the latest. Please email volunteering@rva.org.uk if you have any questions.
