Volunteers needed for new Thames Hospice Supastore – opening Thursday 17 October

With less than a month to go, we are now in the final stages of transforming an empty warehouse into our new, vibrant and emporium-like Reading Superstore. It’s sustainable shopping on the grandest of scales, providing a complete shopper experience with something for the entire family.

The Superstore will include quality, preloved and upcycled furniture together with homeware for the whole house from the kitchen to the dining, living and bedrooms. We shall also have a creative hub with our upcycling experts creating unique pieces of furniture for the home. There will also be our Repair Shed, offering a repair service where an assortment of broken items can be brought back to
life.

A fashion and vintage section will host an ever-changing collection of clothing and accessories for everyone, plus an alteration service on hand to ensure the perfect fit. There will also be a dedicated fun space for children with pre-loved books, games, toys and furniture, to keep little ones entertained.

We shall also have a café serving a delicious selection of beverages and light refreshments together with ample free parking.
