The Lloyds Bank Foundation has launched a £1.8 million funding programme for charities and CICs seeking to influence and achieve change in national policy to improve support for people facing complex issues within accommodation, social security, and refugees and asylum seeker support in England and Wales.
What are the funder’s priorities?
Under this programme, Lloyds Bank Foundation has three priority themes:
- Social security system
- Accommodation
- Refugees and Asylum Seekers

Who is eligible to apply?
This programme is open to charities and CICs with an income over £25,000 working directly or with others to influence those in power to tackle the causes and consequences of complex issues and the barriers people face. There is no upper limit for income.
How much can you apply for?
You can apply for grants of £30,000 – £150,000 over up to three years.
How to apply?
- Arrange a chat with their team by emailing them: request a call, to discuss your influencing idea and how it meets the guidance,
- You will need to complete a short Applicant Information Form and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Form that must be submitted alongside your Expression of Interest ( See a guide here), to policy@lloydsbankfoundation.org.uk
- They will let you know by 30 June if you’re invited through to the second stage,
- Finalise your application by 1 September,
- You will hear the final outcome by the end of October
Is there a deadline?
- The deadline for initial expressions of interest is 5pm, 19 May 2023.
