Managing for Good Mental Health – free training for Berkshire’s charity and voluntary sector
Good people management can make a significant difference to the wellbeing of individuals, teams and organisations. However, managers can sometimes find conversations about mental health difficult, particularly when situations require additional sensitivity.
This practical workshop will help managers build the confidence, skills and knowledge to support good mental health within their teams and respond effectively when someone may be struggling.
In-person workshop: Managing for Good Mental Health

Poor mental health and work-related stress are estimated to cost UK employers £28 billion each year. Within the third sector, where people are often highly motivated by supporting others, staff can find it particularly difficult to speak up when they themselves are struggling.
Our aim is to give organisations practical tools to create healthier working cultures where people feel supported and managers feel confident having conversations about mental health.
