Berkshire Community Foundation manages a number of funds which aim to support projects tackling issues affecting older people, such as isolation, disability or disadvantage.
Who is eligible to apply?
What are the funder priorities?
When reviewing applications, the following priorities are taken in to consideration:
- Project matches the fund’s criteria
- Amount of funding received in the previous 12 months
- Project timelines
- Outstanding monitoring reports.
Beneficiaries must be aged 65 and over, grants will be awarded to groups, projects and programmes that:
- Improve health and wellbeing
- Improve access to facilities, advice and training
- Overcome problems such as illness, injury, disability, bereavement or financial difficulty
How much can you apply for?
Grants up to a maximum of £5,000 will be considered, subject to funding availability.
Is there a deadline?
The Funds for Older People is now open for grant applications in the Summer 2022 round of funding, from Monday 21 March 2022 until 10am on Thursday 14 April 2022.
How to apply?
- Complete the Eligibility Quiz at the bottom of Funds for Older People page and if you meet the criteria of the fund, you will be sent a link to an application form.
- Application form must be completed on-line and submitted by 10am on Thursday 14 April 2022,
- Applicants will be informed of the Grants Committee’s decisions by the end of May 2022.
