Introduction – overview of the funding
The Asda foundation, an independent charity founded by Asda, supports small groups at the heart of our communities.
There are three grants that are currently open within the Grassroots Grants programme:
- The Empowering Local Communities grant enables local community groups to support a broad range of activities helping to transform communities and improve lives. This grant is for groups who are supporting people over the age of 18.
- Under 18’s Better Start grant empowers local community groups aiming to tackle poverty, address inclusion and boost wellbeing for children and young people. This grant is for groups who are supporting people under the age of 18.
- Cost of Living grant enables local community groups to meet the changing needs of their service users at the same time as a decline in income and rising running costs for the groups themselves.
