Team Reading: Be part of the team at this fantastic community event – 30 September 2017
Stewarding / Event Support volunteers needed for Reading Town Meal in RG1
As we will be serving lunch to over 1000 people on Saturday 30th September, stewards are essential to keep everyone safe, and having a good time.
As a volunteer steward you will be based at key points around the Gardens e.g. the entrances, around the main tent where food is served and to direct people to workshops. Your role is to answer questions, check maps and generally respond to issues as they arise.
There will be a briefing session on Tuesday 26th September at 7:30pm held at RISC to equip you with all the information you need and answer any questions and you’ll also be provided with a role pack for the day itself. You’ll be working as a team with people who have been involved in previous Town Meals, so there are lots of people of hand to help you.
This role is open to everyone – no references are required and the event is held in the town centre so easily accessible.
Join the team by completing the simple registration form found HERE
We would love to hear from anyone who can give us an hour or more on Saturday 30th September. Volunteering slots are normally for 2 hours but we are flexible. The main volunteering roles are needed between 8am and 6pm.
