Counselling qualified volunteers needed for Private: Support U in RG1

We are seeking volunteer qualified or in training counsellors to help us support members of the LGBT community.

You will need to be in training or qualified as a minimum at Level 4 Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy. We welcome applications from all modalities. You will also need to be a full or student member of either the BACP or UKCP. We also require that if you are a student member in training that you are in person therapy yourself.

You will be required to attend the group supervision we provide twice a month providing you with the minimum BACP requirement of 1.5 hours per month.

You will need to be available to see clients up to 3 hours per week for 50 min sessions. We ask that our volunteers agree to stay with us for a minimum of 12 months to allow for continuity for our clients and to allow us to plan sessions as we expand our services.

We will provide you with an induction, our systems, CORE and Safeguarding training before you begin.
