Local education charity needs a fundraising trustee
Trustee / Committee volunteer needed for ABC to read (Assisting Berkshire Children to Read) in RG30
While we have a professional and competent management team and staff in place, at ABC to Read we are looking for board members that can provide that strategic governance, as well as a practical and hands-on approach to enabling the charity to grow and develop. Perhaps you already have experience as a trustee or perhaps you have relevant skills and are looking for your first opportunity to join a board and be involved in leading our charity.
We are looking for someone with experience in fundraising at senior management or strategic level and an understanding of the current challenging environment facing voluntary organisations, who can both support our Chief Officer to source and secure funding opportunities, as well as support the board with experience and constructive guidance on the organisation’s overall funding strategy.
- An understanding of the challenges facing small to medium UK charities in maximising income streams & donor cultivation
- Experience of diverse fundraising practices, including statutory funds, corporate and philanthropic giving, would be valuable
- Excellent networking skills, influencing and communication skills.
