Whitley GrowAllot is a community allotment that has 3 sessions during the week that are supported by a paid Food4families tutor.
We are looking for volunteers to work along side the tutor supporting local residents (adults & children) during those sessions and also to help with the general maintenance of the site.
The main aim of the sessions are to get more people growing fruit and vegetables together.
At the site a wide variety of fruit and vegetables are grown and then shared out amongst those who attend. Some of the participants may be new to veg growing or others may have additional needs.
All equipment and training is provided and the work will involve a wide variety of tasks.
