This role is key to the organisation and will help you make a great contribution to the work of the British Red Cross. Whether it is helping out with a particular service when they’re busy, lending a hand in IT or marketing or undertaking tasks around one of our centres, you will get involved in a great cause. You will be bringing some of your own knowledge and experience to the role and you will also have the chance to develop workplace skills.
Typical tasks include;
– Helping out with research or admin tasks when the office is busy
– Providing marketing, IT or business experience on an on going basis
– Supporting a variety of departments with whatever work needs doing
What we are looking for;
You need to have good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills although full training can be given for any technical requirements. We keep the beneficiary at the heart of what we do, working to understand their needs and the difference we make. Also someone who is:
– Responsible, organised, reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
– Available to help out with a variety of tasks as agreed
– Interested in learning more about the organisation and the humanitarian world
– Willing to uphold the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and adhere to the Society’s Equal Opportunities Policy
