Do you have a good reading voice? Join the team bringing the news to blind and vision-impaired people in Reading

Arts / Entertainment volunteers needed for Reading’s Talking Newspapers for the Blind (Reading TN) in RG1

Do you have a good reading voice?

Then why not be one of our readers at Reading’s Talking News?

We’re a small, local charity providing a local audio news service aimed largely at blind and vision-impaired people in the Reading area.

As a reader, you will be part of a network of volunteers who meet on Monday evenings to record a range of news and feature stories which we send out to our listeners.

We are looking for one or two additional volunteers who are good readers and comfortable speaking into a microphone.

Your commitment would be a couple of hours on a Monday evening (7-9 p.m) about once every 5-6 weeks or so.

Please do get in touch if you would like to know more.
