Leading group activities volunteers needed for Museum of English Rural Life (MERL) in RG1

This role involves working alongside museum staff and other volunteers to deliver hands-on engagement activities such as:  food production and tasting, making, demonstrations, object handling and experimentation that will be used as conversation starters at outreach events.

These activities will focus on our science engagement themes:

  • food and nutrition
  • livestock management and animal health
  • rural health and medicine

Knowledge about our core science engagement themes is welcome but not essential.

This role involves talking to members of the public.

There is scope for volunteers to  get involved with researching and developing new science engagement activities and online resources.
