Can you be a befriender to someone living with dementia?

Befriending / Visiting volunteers needed for Alzheimer’s Society

By becoming a befriending volunteer you will be able to help a person living with dementia to maintain a social life and to follow a hobby or interest.

Do any of the below sound like you:

  • Do you have an interest or hobby you can share?
  • Are you a sympathetic person and good listener?
  • Do you enjoy walking, gardening or exercise?
  • Do you like music or art?
  • Do you enjoy reminiscing?

If you could offer time at regular intervals, we would love to hear from you.

Find out more: listen to an interview with volunteer befriender, Fiona.
