Main purpose:
1. Review and approve loan applications from members.
2. Oversee the loan appraisal and scoring policy and process.
3. Measure the social impact to the community of the Credit Union.
Principle duties and tasks:
1.Loans:
Weekly, review application credit analysis & score produced by Loan Officer.
Discuss application with member if required.
Approve loan terms that are in the best interest of the member and Credit Union.
Potentially sign post members to other organisations & agencies in cases of hardship.
2. Policy and process:
Oversee loan application and approval process.
Recommend to the Board improvements/changes to:
o Risk management.
o Loan products.
o Marketing of loans.
o Terms and conditions for loans.
o Approval process.
o Loan documentation.
3. Measure Social impact via:
Maintenance of database.
Review of ongoing loan performance.
Analysis and review of financial inclusion & CU effectiveness.
