Be part of our research project and help us to further understanding of how the brain works

Research volunteers needed for University of Reading in RG6

We would like to invite right-handed females between 20-50 years to take part in a research project.

This is the first study of its kind for social psychology and we are doing this research to help us understand how the brain works.

You would visit us once and bring a second person with you. By random selection we will ask you to bring a current romantic partner that you have been with for at least 3 years, or a close friend you have known for 3 years, or a work colleague who you have known for 3 years and don’t visit outside of work. The second participant can be male or female. The scan will take about 1 hour.

You will spend about 1 hour and 30 minutes with us each session. We will pay you and your affiliate participant £5 each for each half hour. (£30 total)
If you want, we would also love to give you a picture of your brain afterwards. A brain scan from us is not a medical “all clear” and we will inform your local medial practice should we have any concerns.

This study has been reviewed according to procedures specified by the University Research Ethics Committee and has been given a favourable opinion for conduct
