Leading group activities volunteers needed for Didcot Railway Centre (Education Team) in OX117NJ
We have a highly successful programme of learning outside of the classroom which include activities such as World War II Evacuation and the Coming of the Railway plus several more.
We are very good at what we do and have built a phenomenal reputation with schools as far away Northampton but we sadly turn away a number of schools every year and so we are looking to increase our team.
Schools come to us for one reason and that is to help educate their children in our country’s history however you do not need any historical knowledge of either British history or of the railways history but a willingness to work with children is a must.
To learn the geography of the railway centre you will accompany an experienced Guide leading 15/20 children from one presenter to another and when you feel comfortable you would then take your own group but if you wished there would be an opportunity to become a presenter.
This is a unique opportunity which we are sure you will enjoy and in the bargain learn some fascinating facts!
