Many LGBTQ+ young people struggle to communicate with their parents and carers about their sexuality or gender identity. A new workshop, hosted by Support U in collaboration with award-winning sex and health educator Dee Whitnell (they/them), aims to bridge that gap and equip families with the tools to create a safe and affirming environment.

- Location: Reading Biscuit Factory
- Date: 23rd March
- Time: 13:00–14:30
- Accessibility: Open to all ages
This interactive session will provide practical guidance, deeper insights, and actionable strategies to help parents, carers, and allies support LGBTQ+ young people with confidence and understanding. Whether you’re a family member, an educator, or simply want to be a better ally, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn from an expert in the field.
A limited number of free tickets are available for charity, school, and university representatives—please get in touch with Support U for more details.
