Primary interest
Voluntary sector

The Tudor Trust is an independent grant-making charitable trust, which fund a wide range of organisations working to support positive change in people’s lives and in their communities around the UK. The primary focus is core funding, as they want to fund in a way which contributes to the health and strength of organisations.

Who can apply?

The application will be considered if:

  • you are seeking support for work that has a charitable purpose and which meets the criteria in the funding guidelines below,
  • it comes from an organisation which has both a constitution and a bank account.
  • the groups operating under a range of legal structures including registered charities, unincorporated associations, community interest companies, companies limited by guarantee and community benefit societies.
How much can you apply for?

There is no maximum or minimum grant, though in practice it is unusual a grant to be less than £10,000.

Is there a deadline?

The grants are made on a rolling basis so you can apply at any time, but from 1 April 2022 new applications will be closed for a year. For now, applications are open and will run until 5pm on Thursday 31 March 2022.

They are currently closed to applications from new organisations.

How to apply
First-Stage proposal:
  • There is a brief online form to complete, which asks for basic information about your organisation.
  • You will then be asked to upload three documents (an introductory letter, answers to five questions and a copy of your accounts), along with the form.
Second-Stage decision:
  • There are no standard forms to complete at the second stage, instead the assessment process involves an in depth conversation, via phone or Zoom.
  • The decision will be made on most applications within three months of their progressing to the second stage.
