Do you know a child or young person ‘in need of a hug’?

I am the volunteer co-ordinator for the Berkshire branch of Project Linus

Project Linus donates handmade patchwork quilts to children and young people ‘in need of a hug’, offering comfort to someone not known to the maker through the security of a lovely quilt. We give quilts to children who might be ill, disabled, abused, bereaved, traumatised or just ‘in need of a hug’ because of family circumstances.

If you work with children or young people from birth to 19 then you might like to nominate an individual or group to receive a quilt. HomeStart, PACT, Dingley and First Days have already received quilts and report back how much they are appreciated by the children.

Contact me, Lillian King, by emailing projectlinusberkshire@gmail.com. I hope Project Linus can give a ‘hug’ to someone you support in these challenging times and look forward to hearing from you.
