Team Reading – Be part of Reading’s first Disability Awareness Day – 17/6/17

Stewarding / Event Support volunteers needed for Reading Borough Council (RBC) in RG1

Reading’s Physical Disability and Sensory Needs Network is hosting Reading’s first Disability Awareness Day on Saturday 17th June 2017.

The event will celebrate the diversity of Reading residents and visitors who may have a long term condition, a physical disability, sensory need or neurological condition. Disabled people, their families, carers, voluntary organisations and other service providers will have the opportunity to gather and be part of what promises to be a fun filled and informative day.

We are seeking volunteers in the day to help with a range of tasks, including:

  • Helping with set-up.
  • Welcoming visitors and Reception desk.
  • Promoting the event in the town center.
  • Helping with refreshments.
  • Signposting visitors.
  • General assistance.
