Stronger Together Employability Support and Services Guide
The Stronger Together partnership supported people to get into employment or self-employment or move closer towards either of those goals. Offering access to a wide range of support – from confidence building and career planning, to training and accessing volunteering opportunities – the project started in October 2017 and finished at the end of June 2020.
This guide has been produced to provide you with a list of existing services where you can continue to get advice and support you might need to move towards employment, or to overcome other barriers which may be stopping you from reaching your full potential. The list is not exhaustive and some organisations might have eligibility criteria, so the reader should check with providers directly. About Stronger Together
The Stronger Together partnership was made up of 8 local organisations who between them offered a range of services to help people into volunteering, work, or self-employment. They helped people connect to local networks and contacts, increasing their chances of finding their ideal training, volunteering or employment opportunity.

Stronger Together helped people to:
- Discuss aspirations for work.
- Find out about the services and support available.
- Explore practical solutions which address concerns and challenges.
- Progress towards and into training, volunteering, work experience placements and employment.
The help offered through Stronger Together was free to people who needed support to get into employment or self-employment, or just move closer to either of these goals. To be eligible to take part in the project you needed to be unemployed or economically inactive, aged 25 or older, and living in Reading or West Berkshire.
