Fundraising volunteers needed for Smart Works Reading

All Smart Works volunteers are extraordinarily dedicated to the work they do with our clients, and their commitment is highly valued. Our belief is that each and every client deserves the highest level of service and care from the moment they walk through our door.

SMART WORKS FUNDRAISING VOLUNTEERS
Smart Works Fundraising Volunteers will play a key role in helping the charity to meet its financial objectives of core running costs and growth. We are looking for two different skill sets for fundraising; (event’s organiser and trust applications) Our Smart Works Fundraising Volunteers will help fund raise in two distinct ways:

Events Fundraiser:
• Being passionate and proactive in spreading the Smart Works message.
• Running and presenting at local clothing drives & gaining match funding.
• Creating and managing fundraising events schedule annually to raise up to 10k.
• Deliver talks that are engaging and motivating the audience.
• Adapt the talk to include new messages or time-specific information as communicated by the Smart Works Reading team.
• Working with Sarah Burns – Co-Chair & Founder on all events.

Trust & Foundations Fundraiser:
• Being passionate and proactive in spreading the Smart Works message.
• Completing fundraising Trusts & Foundation applications with a target of £50k per annum to be raised.
• Contact relevant trusts and organisations.
• Manage funding reporting.
• Working with Board Trustee on all applications.

Overall responsibilities:
• Become familiar with the ethos behind Smart Works the mission, vision and services.
• Ensure all donations and expressions of interest in fundraising and clothing donations with match funding are followed up promptly.

Skill Set Required:
• Fundraising experience.
• Proactive, self-motivated & driven individual.
• Good attention to detail.
• Excellent literary, commuter and communication skills.
• Excellent local network and networking skills.
