Join the organising team for Southcote over 50s social club
Coordination / Projects volunteers needed for Reading Borough Council (RBC) in RG30
This local group working to provide a social club for over 50s living in Southcote and the surrounding areas has a great team of people helping to make the regular sessions happen every Monday.
What the team needs now is a bit more help with organising prizes for their raffles, devising quizzes, competitions and other activities, looking out for new activity ideas or entertainment, plus helping to organise the provision of lunches, collecting from local caterers etc. Different tasks can be taken on by different members of the team. You don’t have to do it all!
It’s not essential to be available for the club sessions but clearly you will get most from the role if you have some regular contact with the club members and get the chance to see how much they value it.
