The National Childbirth Trust (NCT) is here to support parents. Their vision is a world in which parents are valued and supported to build a strong society, believing that a child’s early years significantly impact upon the future they help to shape.

* We offer information and support in pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.
* We campaign to improve maternity care and ensure better services and facilities for new parents.
* We aim to give every parent the chance to make informed choices.
* We want to make sure that everyone has access to our services and activities.

NCT operates both on a national level and through local branches such as our Reading Branch, which is run entirely by volunteers and through fundraising, to reach, support and bring together local parents and parents-to-be during this time of change in their lives. We do this through a wide range of events and services, and by helping parents access impartial and factual information. We enable parents to create invaluable and critical networks and friendships, which often then last throughout family life. All of our support is available to local parents from all backgrounds, usually for free or donation based.
