Berkshire West Your Way is a mental health charity that provides a range of services for adults who have a diagnosed mental health need living in Reading, West Berkshire, or Wokingham and are ready to move forward in their recovery. We support people on their journey towards mental wellbeing, helping them with aspects of life such as socialising, building confidence and playing an active role in their community as well as connecting to other organisations offering support with forms, housing and employment support.

Our office is in East Reading and people can access our services by completing an application form and upon receipt of a reference from a mental health professional or GP they can then access the range of support and activities that we offer, such as:

  • 12 weeks of support with a Your Way worker
  • One to one support with a peer supporter
  • A flexible programme of service user led groups
  • Your Way Social Groups
  • Peer Support volunteer roles

Peer support has always been at the heart of our service at Berkshire West Your Way and we believe has wide-reaching benefits for both the peer support volunteers and our clients as well as the wider community. We know from our clients that talking to someone who knows what you mean and can relate to your experiences makes a big difference and this is why we train and offer opportunities for peer support volunteers who have their own experiences of mental health experiences.
