Reading Climate Action Network aims to help Reading take local action to slow down climate change and to be ready for extreme weather events. The network is made up of representatives from the business, public, community and voluntary sectors.

It encourages individuals/organisations to commit to taking on “challenges” to help meet its aims. These include things like reducing your greenhouse gas emissions by 7% in a year or greening your office.

RCAN is supported by the Reading Climate Change Partnership who launched the Reading Climate Change Strategy in autumn 2013.
