We provide support and representation to individuals of working age with issues about their mental health care and treatment. The service is free, confidential and independent of any statutory bodies. Examples of issues are treatment concerns and choices, negotiation of your care plan, and the quality of service you are receiving. Advocates can provide support and representation at ward rounds, Care Programme Approach meetings, out-patient appointments etc. The service is available throughout Berkshire to inpatients and individuals in the community. Advocates visit the local day services and can arrange to meet up with individuals at a place of your choosing. Individuals access the service by phoning the office phone number.
