Amnesty International UK is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation (NGO) focused on protecting human rights worldwide.

Reading Amnesty is a busy, enthusiastic and sociable group, with members of all ages and from all backgrounds. We support individual prisoners of conscience and other Amnesty campaigns by lobbying, letter writing, using social media and fundraising. We organise various actions and events, arrange stalls and exhibitions, and join in local activities.

We meet on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 8pm at Reading International Solidarity Centre (RISC), 35-39 London Street, Reading RG1 4PS. We often have visiting speakers. Our meetings are open to all and new members are welcome.
