Complementary Therapy Lead, closing date 31 March 2024

Role Purpose:
  • Develop, manage the provision, and ensure the safe delivery of complementary therapies to our service users.
  • Lead, grow, develop and support the volunteer therapy team.
  • Manage the number of one-to-one and group therapies/courses, in line with strategy and service user needs.
Person Specification:
Essential
  • Recognised training/qualifications in a specific complementary therapy or therapies.
  • Experience of working with cancer patients and good working knowledge of a range of cancers and their treatments.
  • Excellent management skills (preferably experience with therapists and/or volunteers).
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage and analyse information and provide relevant reports to the CEO/Therapy Committee.
  • Ability to communicate well – express ideas, ability to listen and respond to others appropriately and sensitively.
  • IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to represent the charity at external meetings and events.
Desirable
  • 3 years or more post-qualification experience in health, medical or wellbeing environment.
  • Strong network of complementary therapist and related contacts.
  • Experience in planning and/or delivery of training.
