Introduction

Sovereign Network Group recognises the important role that community & voluntary organisations have in delivering key services to communities. Sovereign Network Group’s Thriving Communities fund is aimed at supporting, not-for-profit groups and organisations that can clearly demonstrate how their services and projects help deliver cohesive, sustainable, resilient communities. They have partnered with Crowdfunder.  SNG is offering to matchfund.

Who is eligible to apply?

To be eligible to apply, organisations must be:

  • local not-for-profit groups
  • community organisations
  • registered charities.

Eligible projects must aim to engage with and benefit Sovereign Network Group residents, within one or more of the localities listed in full in the full Guidance, Eligibility and Pledge Criteria

Reading is identified as a locality.

What are the funder priorities?

Priority will be given to those groups whose work helps achieve one or more of the Sovereign Network Group priorities and themes with regard to:

  • Youth
  • Health and well-being
  • Ageing-well:
  • Social Inclusion and Isolation (including EDI)
  • Environment & Place
  • Customer Voice
  • Employment support
  • Food Insecurity
  • Digital Inclusion and skills
  • Money matters and debt
How much can organisations apply for?

If your application is approved, you will be offered upto 50% towards your whole crowfunding target upto a maximum of £10,000.

What the funding can be used for

This is fairly unrestrictive but must be used for the purposes stated in your original Crowdfunder campaign page.  See terms and conditions here.

Is there a deadline?

There is no deadline, but likely to close by the end of March 2024 or sooner,  if the funding is exhausted.
