Panasonic is looking to partner with a local charity supporting ethnic minorities

Panasonic is a well known corporation based in Bracknell and Berkshire and they have recently been in touch with us at RVA about how they might support a local charity. This has come out of their ‘Embrace’ initiative, which is a business impact group at Panasonic that aims to promote racial and ethnic diversity at Panasonic. They create networking and accessibility opportunities, support the recruitment and retention of ethnically diverse employees, and contribute to business growth by driving awareness and understanding of underrepresented cultures and experiences.

To further promote the Embrace initiatives, they would like to partner with a local charity who supports ethnic minorities or is led by ethnic minorities.

They have suggested the following ways in which they could work with and support this local charity:

  • Panasonic offers its employees 2 days a year to volunteer with a charity – this can be skills based
  • They have employees working across HR, tax, finance, legal etc. so they may be able to assist with specific requests in these areas to support your charity
  • They are looking into whether they could offer free spaces to charities on any internal training that may be helpful to charities also; as well as free access to their Employee Assistance Programme.
  • They are open to other suggestions of support

If you are interested in applying, please email Tahseen Anwar at Tahseen.Anwar@eu.panasonic.com to find out more. Closing date July.
