Daisy’s Dream is the only Berkshire-based charity solely dedicated to supporting children, young people, and their families when they have been affected bereavement or are preparing for loss. At the beginning of 2024 Daisy’s Dream moved to new premises in Lower Earley, Reading. This move provides us with a more spacious and accessible office and creates a dedicated space for delivering 1:1 and small group work to children, young people, and families. This will allow us to be more responsive in our support services and provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for our families.
In addition to our new physical space, we are also developing a new website with enhanced resources and information for those seeking our support.
To further expand our reach, we will be running more groups in 2024. We will also bring back our popular Daisy Walk after its successful launch last year. In addition, we are launching a pilot project working with schools to build their confidence in discussing death and dying, and re-launching our Young Ambassador program to empower youth advocates and involve them in the development of our service.
