Leading group activities volunteers needed for Reading’s Talking Newspapers for the Blind (Reading TN) in RG1
Would you like to join a small, local charity supporting the blind and vision-impaired community of Reading?
We are looking for one or two volunteer Producers at Reading’s Talking News who can spare a couple of hours on a Monday afternoon.
You would be part of a friendly team of readers who put together a weekly audio news recording for our listeners.
As Producer, your role is to lead the recording session. You will also have the opportunity to read if you’re interested.
The role requires some basic IT proficiency to navigate our simple recording equipment, but above all an enthusiasm to play your part in a team bringing local news stories to our listeners at home.
Full training will be provided and you are welcome to shadow one of our recording sessions to see what’s involved.
If this sounds like you and you can spare a few hours each month, we would love to hear from you.
