SSAFA Berkshire are looking for a volunteer for the role of Publicity Officer. SSAFA provide social, financial and welfare assistance to those who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces and their families.

As Publicity Officer you will ensure we have a high profile by coordinating all local press, publicity and public relations activities. You will look for opportunities to publicise our work, including through working with local press, TV and radio.

You will spend your time working with our clients and volunteers and finding ways to use their experiences, contacts and talents to talk about the work we do. You will be supported by the Secretary who oversees all work in Berkshire.and your local SSAFA Awareness and Fundraising Manager.

We will give local induction training about SSAFA and you will take part in a Corporate Communications and Marketing Workshop. You do not need a Forces background to volunteer with SSAFA but an understanding of our work will be useful.
