Could you do a shift or two each month behind the bar at the Kenton Theatre?
Working behind the bar, you will arrive one hour before the performance, prepare the bar, which is in the foyer, ensure that the bar is clean, glasses are washed, bins are emptied.
The bar is open before the performance and during the interval. After the interval, our bar volunteers clear and tidy up as well as replenishing bar stocks ready for next time.
There’s quite a bit of standing and moving around in this role. As well as this, volunteers need to be confident handling money in the cash bar, including verifying the float, adding up totals and reporting on the takings after each session.
