Take a look at this fun and rewarding opportunity

Leading group activities volunteers needed for 103rd Reading (Oxford Road) Scout Group in RG30

We are looking for Section Leaders aged 18+ for our Cubs (8-10 years) and Scouts (10-14 years old).

There are two Cub Packs – one meets on Tuesdays 6.45pm til 8.15pm and the other on Wednesday 5.30pm til 7pm.

Our Scout Troop meets on Thursday from 7.00pm til 9.00pm.

The Sections meet during school term time only.

Leading the children and young people through their badge work and providing enriching opportunities is very rewarding and great fun. Experience of Scouting would be an advantage but not necessary as full training is required.

We are a great team of volunteer Leaders who are well supported by the Group Executive Committee.

Volunteers with physical disabilities could fulfill this role. Other disabilities cannot impede communication with and management of children and young people.

We have our own hut in a secure part of Kensington Park near Oxford Road. We are looking forward to building a brand new Headquarters on the same site.
