Supported Housing team needs Frontline Duty Desk support

Information / Advice volunteers needed for Launchpad Reading in RG1

Launchpad Reading Supported Housing Team are looking for support from a team of 5 volunteers to man our Frontline Duty Desk. The desk is operational between 9.30am-4pm and each weekday needs the presence of a warm, friendly, great communicator who can support and deliver this vital service to our clients and members of the public seeking advice.

The role includes telephone work as well as face to face communication and a basic understanding of our client group is ideal but not essential, because of the comprehensive induction and support we can offer (scroll down for details).

Core tasks will include:

  • Supported Housing Duty Phone – answering / logging queries and liaising information to team
  • Front of House – greeting clients / visitors and volunteers
  • Back Office Support – database updates / general admin tasks

Once volunteers have completed their induction programme, we will allocate additional tasks to keep people busy and stimulated.
