Shop work / Retail volunteers needed for League of Friends of the Royal Berkshire Hospital in RG1

The League of Friends of the Royal Berkshire Hospital is part of the National League and is very prominent in its role. Our current shops include Maternity shop and Coffee shop as well as retail trolley rounds.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day running of our Maternity shop. Will need to be reliable, confident, approachable, outgoing and friendly person with a flexible approach to their work. Excellent communication skills and the expertise to deal with people at all levels whilst maintaining a professional stance.

The ability to work unsupervised and to prioritise their work is essential. This includes in decision making and problem solving.

Main Duties

Cash and stock handling.
To assist other volunteers of the role.
Follow and give excellent Customer Service to all.
Work with the staff in ensuring security of all stock and money.
Regularly attend training given with the NHS Trust or League of Friends to ensure complying with requirements for the shop/trollies.
Discuss with staff any particular problems encountered.
