New Beginnings Reading is a homeless charity based in Reading. Our aims are the prevention and relief of poverty and financial hardship of persons in Reading who are in need due to social or economic reasons, regardless of their religion or belief.

We have transformed the Queens Arms pub in Great Knollys Street, which is now used for a number of services, which include the All-Night Café, a night shelter for the homeless, a community fridge for distributing free food for those in need and the After School Café offering meals, clothing and support for parents and children.

We are seeking a committed, self-motivated and confident volunteer who can take on the important role of a charity fundraiser. This role will involve seeking out, writing and submitting grant applications to Trusts and other funders who support activity to combat homelessness and help vulnerable members of the community.
