We are a charity supporting disadvantaged individuals (of mixed ability) into employment.

We are aware that the written English competencies our “students” have, are not adequate for mainstream employment requirements.

We are looking for a literacy support worker to help our students improve their grammar and sentence structure (as well as appropriate register for the task at hand).

We are delivering training online and are happy to train anyone on the use of Office 365 and Microsoft Teams which is the charity’s preferred platform for communication.

Minimum requirement: A-Level English Language and/or Literature or classroom experience.

Would be an ideal opportunity for a retired teacher. However, please note, that some of our students have disabilities that could require non-traditional teaching methods and a certain degree of patience as they might need extra support in understanding appropriate communication styles.

Our learners are amazing and are proactively seeking help so this will undoubtedly be a rewarding experience for any applicant.
