Administration volunteers needed for Reading Welfare Rights in RG2

Could you support the work of our small team of Benefits Advisors? Every year, we help hundreds of people to receive the support that they need, just to be able to get by.

Our team of Advisors work incredibly hard and need an experienced administrator, ideally with some benefits knowledge to:

  1. Answer phone calls and take messages
  2. Identify the issues that require our support
  3. Greet clients and other visitors to the unit
  4. Assist clients with form filling
  5. Carry out other general administrative tasks

Period required

Although there is no obligation as this is a volunteering role, to help us provide a good service to our clients; we would like you to commit to a minimum period of volunteering for three months.

Additional Information

  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service.) We will ask you to provide 2 references from people who have known you for a least 2 years, one of whom should be in a professional capacity.
  • We are looking for volunteers on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday mornings and Fridays
