Could you provide a warm, friendly welcome for this important service?

Reception / Meet and greet volunteers needed for Launchpad Reading in RG1

Our Floating Support Service seeks a team of 5 volunteers to support with meeting and greeting our clients / visitors / members of the community

Not all our clients live in housing that we provide in Reading. Our shared houses and flats aren’t suitable for everyone, yet that doesn’t mean those people need our support any less.

That’s where our floating support comes in. It’s for people who live in other housing but might struggle to stay put or live independently without our assistance.

A variety of issues

Floating support helps people with a range of challenges and problems, many of them serious. Clients can be individuals, families with young children, mothers struggling with abusive relationships … just about anyone who needs our help but isn’t suitable for our accommodation.

The Front of House Desk for the Floating Support team is operational between the hours of 9:30 – 15:30 and requires the presence of a warm, friendly, great communicator who can support and delivery this vital service to our clients and members of the public seeking advice. This will included telephone work as well as face to face communication.

If you would like to know more about this volunteer role please contact volunteers@launchpadreading.org.uk and quote reference AR0007.
