Could you help prepare breakfast for guests of our all night cafe for the homeless?
Catering volunteers needed for New Beginnings Reading in RG1
New Beginnings Reading have a vision to open an alcohol-free pub serving free food and drinks for Reading’s homeless and needy. We have been working hard to transform the disused Queens Arms pub in Great Knollys Street into a place for all kinds of activities to serve the local community and those in need who have a connection to Reading.
We are almost ready to open our all night cafe, serving a late meal and offering a place of safety to those in need.
We are seeking volunteers who can help prepare/ cook breakfast, using surplus food that has been donated to us, for the 10-15 people who have stayed at the cafe overnight.
In return we can offer you the chance to join a dedicated team of volunteers motivated to make a real difference to the lives of local people in need. We will also provide you with access to level 2 food hygiene training.
