BSL level 2 qualified? Support us to increase the accessibility of our recruitment processes

Translation volunteer needed for Dimensions in RG7

Are you BSL qualified and looking for volunteering experience? We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are fluent in BSL to join us and translate a range of videos for our resourcing team in order to support the accessibility of our recruitment processes to people experiencing hearing loss.

About the role

The Dimensions Resourcing Team are putting together a range of videos to support candidates through the recruitment process. With the aim of making Dimensions processes more accessible and increase the number of people we employ with disabilities, we are looking for volunteers to appear in our videos and translate the content using sign language.

The subjects of these videos will include:
Job Descriptions and Person Specifications
Step by step guides of the on-boarding process (explaining what is required at each stage and what email communications will be sent).

This is a great opportunity, currently for one project but with the potential to help on further projects in the future if required.

Activities will include:

Using British Sign Language to translate the content of a range of recruitment videos
Being filmed and appearing in the videos for our website and intranet pages
Travelling to Dimensions offices within your region
Working with the resourcing team to understand the content and materials used
