Connecting With Faith Communities For Better Health Outcomes

Saturday 16 May 2026

Alliance and Cohesion for Racial Equality (ACRE) and Utulivu Women will bring faith leaders and services together for this year’s annual mental health awareness week. This is supported and facilitated by Mental health & Suicide first Aiders, Health Champions, and Community participatory Researchers with the view of better collaborative work for better mental health in our communities and especially the grassroots.

Mental health is more common in our communities than we think and sadly most of us do not how how best to support. There is evidence to suggest that working with faith communities for mental health support is important as they act as trusted first responders, provide social support, and help reduce stigma thereby bridging the gap to professional care by providing holistic care.

This conference is open to everybody all because “Your voice counts & your health is your wealth!”
